Mental Math (Norie's case)
This is a continuation of the abacus image story.
Abacus I said I would save the image of the abacus as a photograph, but to my surprise, the abacus in my brain is transparent. So when I don't intend to calculate, I can't see it at all. But once I calculate, only the beads I intend to move are visible.
Even though I am over 55 years old, I can still multiply four digits by three or four digits with ease.
In the next issue, I will ask my students who are good at mental arithmetic to show us their brains.
